Frequently Asked Questions

Get straightforward information designed to support your needs and remove confusion around common medical concerns.

No. Membership at Bloom Medical is not health insurance, and it isn't a substitute for one. It doesn't count as coverage, and it won't satisfy any individual coverage requirement.

What membership gives you is a direct relationship with Dr. Tully — her time, her attention, and real access to her. What it doesn't do is the job insurance does: hospital stays, emergency care, surgery, specialists, and prescriptions.

So we ask every member to keep their own health coverage in place. The two work alongside each other. One doesn't replace the other.

Every membership tier is cash-pay. You pay the practice directly, and we don't bill insurance for membership or for the care provided under it.

One thing that sometimes causes confusion: Dr. Tully also sees patients through Apex Multispecialty Medical Group, and those appointments are billed to insurance in the usual way. That's a separate arrangement, booked separately — it isn't part of a Bloom membership, and you don't need a membership to book one.

If you're working out how this fits with your current plan, call us at (310) 905-5755 and we'll talk it through.

Your membership covers your relationship with Dr. Tully — her time, your visits, and the care she provides in the office.

A few things sit outside that, and they're billed by whoever provides them rather than by us:

  • Prescription medications — dispensed and billed by your pharmacy
  • Outside laboratory work, imaging, and pathology — billed by the facility that performs them
  • Specialist care — billed by that specialist
  • Certain in-office procedures

One thing worth knowing if you're looking at Bloom Metabolic: it's a focused weight-management program, so primary care, well-woman, and preventive services aren't part of that tier.

If you're ever unsure whether something is included, ask before you schedule it — call (310) 905-5755.

Bloom Metabolic is enrolled month-to-month.

For the full-practice memberships, the specifics — how much notice to give, how a cancellation is handled, and how any prepaid fees are treated — are set out in your Membership Agreement. That's the document that actually governs your membership. You'll receive it and have the chance to read it through before you sign anything, and nothing is committed until you do.

We'd rather you read those terms in your own time than take a summary of them off a web page.

If you want to see exactly what you'd be agreeing to before going further, call (310) 905-5755 or email info@thebloommed.com and we'll walk you through it.

If you're a Bloom Signature member: you can reach Dr. Tully by direct message during the day, and there's an after-hours line beyond that. Appointments are same- or next-day, and visits run 30 to 60 minutes — long enough to actually get through what you came in for, instead of watching the clock.

Bloom Reserve members have direct phone, text, and email access to Dr. Tully, unlimited visits with no per-visit fee, and house calls.

One honest note: no specific response time is guaranteed. We'd rather say that plainly up front than promise you a window we can't hold to every single time.

And if something is an emergency, don't message us — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Yes. Bloom Signature members have telehealth wherever they are, and care continues while you're traveling — you don't lose your physician because you left town.

Bloom Reserve members also have global on-call and travel-medicine planning, so a trip can be prepared for in advance rather than improvised from a hotel room at midnight.

In practice that means a work stint in another city, a long trip, or something that comes up while you're away doesn't have to mean starting from scratch with an urgent care clinic that has never met you and doesn't know your history.

Two limits worth knowing: telehealth doesn't replace an in-person exam when one is genuinely needed, and if something is an emergency while you're away, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room wherever you are.

Reserve is invitation only, and membership at Bloom is deliberately small.

It starts with a short form — just what you're looking for, no medical detail needed. From there we arrange a private conversation with Dr. Tully. That conversation runs both ways: it's as much about whether the practice is right for you as whether it's a fit from our side. If it is a fit, we complete enrollment and your care begins.

Reserve pricing isn't published. It's established in that consultation with Dr. Tully.

You can start at thebloommed.com/bloom/inquire. If you'd rather speak to someone first, call (310) 905-5755.
